Nam Fong is dedicated to serving traditional Cantonese cuisine with a creative contemporary twist. Nam Fong’s brand identity design takes the lead from its creative cuisine - mixing traditional with contemporary flair. The customised logo font exhibits a design style in subtraction, with its reduction of all superfluous lines to an elegant minimalist form, which offers a sense of calm and refinement. Whilst the inter-linkage of the two traditional Chinese characters is reminiscent of Chinese lattice pattern designs.
Southside Bistro, a contemporary French brasserie with bright open views of its outdoor terrace, is the perfect destination to escape city life's hustle. The brand identity design is inspired by classic Parisian bistro typography, also featuring a hand-drawn Thyme Leaf - an essential ingredient in French cooking - lending an airy, quintessentially French authenticity to the brand story.
Umami, a modern Japanese Izakaya, offers traditional Japanese dishes and a wide selection of sakes especially curated by its two sake sommeliers. Rich in historical and cultural nuances, inspirations for Umami’s brand identity design stemmed from two Japanese art forms synonymous with precision and craftsmanship - Kumiko (wood assemblage technique) and Temari (folk art ball created in geometric thread designs). The hexagon logomark further signifies longevity and good luck in Japanese culture.
